Tasks Stack: Privacy policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Tasks Stack is a Chrome extension that shows all of your Google Tasks™ lists at once in the Tasks side panel of Google Calendar™, and lets you manage them there. This policy explains what the extension handles and what it doesn't.

The short version

What the extension handles, and why

To show and change your tasks, the extension runs only on calendar.google.com and Google's Tasks panel inside it (tasks.google.com/embed). There it reads, inside your browser:

All of this is used only to provide the extension's single purpose: managing your Google Tasks lists in Google Calendar. Requests that save your changes go only to Google's own servers (tasks.google.com), using your existing Google session.

What the extension stores

A few display preferences (which lists you've collapsed, whether the Completed section is open, and whether you're using the all-lists or one-list view) are kept in your browser's local storage for calendar.google.com. The extension doesn't store your tasks anywhere; it reads them from Google each time.

What the extension doesn't do

Limited Use

The use of information received by Tasks Stack adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide and improve the extension's single purpose, is not transferred to anyone except Google as needed to save your changes, is not used for advertising, and is not read by humans.

Removing the extension

Uninstalling the extension removes it and stops all of the above. Your tasks remain in your Google account, unchanged. To clear the stored preferences, clear site data for calendar.google.com in Chrome's settings.
